Hello Farhan,

Congratulations on your great work getting this community site up and running!

I hope I am not being too assuming and ugly American-ish, but since you live, work and network in the UK I wanted to offer our events content freely to you and the site if you feel it could be a good contribution to the region.

Here's the Google calendar version of the calendar originating at TechVenue.com - please feel free to use it for the site.

Else, if you would like to use just a link, feel free to use:
http://calendars.techvenue.com/cgi-bin/techvenue.pl?CalendarName=UK

Cheers,

David

Hi,

I am about to start an MBA dissertation research. The question is "Is IP essential for a tech startup to succeed?". This is a subject of some strong debate.

I would be interested in any comments. Also, I would be very interested in examples of tech startups that have succeeded without IP or failed because they didnt have it.

Hello. I found your website in a google search. I wonder if London is a good place for a tech company. I'm going to launch one in my country but I want to relocate after in London. Do you think it would be a good decision?
I am also a web programmer, if you need me I can help you.

Regards,
Andrew T.

Hey Mike
Thanks for the feedback ;)
Was interested in seeing if there was a real need in the community for a portal like this, with all the events in one place, and wanted it to be something that grew out of a real need, more than any association with me, but I guess perhaps I'm trying to hard, to keep it seperate, and independent of me.
For now, yes, it is just me in the background (@farhan), but hopefully, in time, it will grow to be a diverse cross-section of the entire community being represented. If you or anyone else reading this is interested in participating or contributing in any way, feel free to drop me a tweet, or send me an email.

I think you're aims are laudable however it would help if we knew who was behind the site. You've told me on Twitter that this is run by "Farhan Rehman - New Media Consultant, Conversation Marketing, Blogger, Web 2.0 Strategist, Social Media, Brand Awareness, PR, Social Entrepreneur, Creating Order out of Chaos" . Is that the case? You need to declare who you are. I have my bio on my site and even my mobile number. You need to do the same. All the best.
